Most cemeteries and churchyards offer limited maintenance, such as mowing lawns and rough edging. They do not have the resources to trim and inspect each individual memorial. The ultimate responsibility for maintaining the grave rests with the family and friends, not the cemetery, since families purchase the gravesite for their loved ones.
Each visit by one of our specialist grave carers includes trimming grass around the headstone, edging the plot, removing weeds and debris, washing memorial pot liners, and general upkeep of the gravesite. We also document the monument's condition and recommend any necessary measures for long-term protection.
If you can provide us with the grave location number, we can easily find it. If you don't have this information, we can locate it for a one-off fee of £25.
We will schedule the work once we receive your order. If you would like us to visit before a certain date, please let us know this information as soon as possible. All grave tendings are undertaken Monday to Friday.

If the gravesite requires repairs or additional maintenance, we provide detailed photographs and a written report. We can also offer a 'no obligation' quotation for any necessary work, including replacement of grave vases, renewal of chippings, or turfing and topsoil work. A specialist monumental mason would carry out any major repairs.
We will notify you by email or text and provide photographs to prove the work has been completed.
Incomplete service is unacceptable. If you are not pleased for any reason, please contact us, and we will correct the issue.
Grave tending encompasses the overall maintenance of the gravesite, including grass trimming, weed removal, flower planting, and general upkeep of the area. On the other hand, headstone cleaning focuses specifically on cleaning and preserving the headstone itself, using eco-friendly and non-destructive methods to restore its original beauty.
